In this picture is Kim Taylor, of Altavista, with Calvin Falwell, President of Lynchburg Baseball Association, presenting Kim with a plaque as she was named Fan of the Year for the Lynchburg Hillcats for 2008 season. Kim and her family traveled to most of the away games and supported the Hillcats at home and on the road. Her family made post game snacks and provided team with gatorades/water/sodas on the away trips. Kim’s son, Forrest, won a Bowen watch presented by the Bowen Jewelry company on Fan Appreciation night. I would like to see a story profiling the family’s commitment to minor league baseball in our area.
